Templates provide a convenient way to avoid having to perform the same steps over and over. If you repetitively create the same waste, you may want to take advantage of this feature.

1. Create the appropriate waste record for the initial container.
2. Before you save the record, click on “Template Options” (upper right of the container information).
3. Name your waste stream and select "Update". Make sure the name you use is descriptive enough to identify later.
4. Save the record.

1. Select "+Add a Container"
2. Select entry type – Chemicals-Used, Biological, etc. And whether or not it is an accumulation container,
3. Click on “Template Options”
4. Use the “drop down” under “Apply Template” to select the correct template and then click on “Apply”.
5. Save the record.

Note: Before saving the record you can still edit it: for example changing the type or size of the container, or adding something to the contents.
